Adding your own fields to a contact form

Ask for exactly what you need — add up to eight of your own fields to a contact form, like a date, a budget, or a job type.

The default contact form asks for a name, email, and message. If you need more — a phone number, a preferred date, a budget, a job type — you can add your own fields so every enquiry arrives with exactly what you need to reply.

Add custom fields

  1. In the editor, open your contact form section.
  2. Add a field and give it a clear label (for example, “Preferred date”).
  3. Repeat for anything else you want to ask.
  4. Publish, and the new fields appear on your live form.

NoteYou can add up to eight custom fields to a form. Whatever visitors enter arrives with the enquiry in your Inbox.

TipAsk only for what you really need — shorter forms get filled in more often. Two or three extra fields is usually plenty.
