Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SiteDrop website and service (the "Service") operated by SiteDrop ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SiteDrop is a website hosting platform that allows you to upload HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web files to deploy a live website. We provide:

• Website hosting on our infrastructure
• Free preview URLs on the sitedrop.live domain
• Custom domain registration and configuration
• SSL certificates for all hosted sites
• Global content delivery network (CDN)

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Free Plan & Trials

The free plan provides a time-limited preview of your site. Free previews expire automatically and the site will go offline after the preview period. Paid plans offer extended hosting, custom domains, and additional features.

If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your selected plan will begin and you will be billed accordingly.

5. Paid Plans & Billing

Paid plans are billed on a recurring monthly basis via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method at the start of each billing cycle. All fees are quoted in USD ($) and are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan from your dashboard. Changes take effect immediately and billing is prorated.

Domain commitment period:If your plan includes domain names registered at no extra cost ("included domains"), a minimum 6-month commitment period applies from the date of your most recent included domain registration. During this period, self-service cancellation is restricted. For early cancellation requests during an active commitment period, contact hello@sitedrop.live.

6. Custom Domains

SiteDrop may purchase and register domain names on your behalf through third-party registrars. Domain registration is subject to the registrar's terms and ICANN policies. Domain fees are charged at the time of purchase and are non-refundable.

Included domains:Domains classified as "included in your plan" (typically priced under $10/year) are registered at no extra cost to you. SiteDrop absorbs the registration fee. In exchange, a 6-month minimum subscription commitment applies from the date of each included domain registration. This commitment protects the domain registration cost covered on your behalf.

SiteDrop holds domain registrations on behalf of users. While the domain is associated with your account and your site, the registration contact may be listed under SiteDrop's registrant details. If you cancel your subscription, you may request a domain transfer.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Host content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Distribute malware, phishing pages, or deceptive content
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Send spam or unsolicited communications
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Use the Service for cryptocurrency mining or resource-intensive computation
• Host content that violates applicable export control or sanctions laws

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, with or without notice.

8. Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of the content you upload to SiteDrop. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to host, serve, cache, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. When you delete your site or account, we will remove your content from our systems within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SiteDrop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may cancel your account from your dashboard, subject to any active domain commitment periods described in Section 5. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, fail to pay fees, or for any other reason at our discretion, with reasonable notice where possible.

Upon termination, your sites will be taken offline and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
