What this guide covers
If you already own a web address (like yourbusiness.com), you can point it at your SiteDrop site so visitors see your own domain instead of a sitedrop.live link.
Before you start — You'll need the login for wherever you bought your domain (your domain provider), because you'll make a small settings change there.
The steps
- Open Names in your dashboard.
- Choose to connect a domain you already own and enter it.
- SiteDrop shows you the exact DNS settings to add. Log in to your domain provider and add them.
- Save, and come back — SiteDrop verifies the connection.
Note — Custom domains are available on a paid plan. On the free plan your site uses a sitedrop.live address. See Plans and what's included.
If it's slow to connect
DNS changes can take a little while to take effect (sometimes a few hours). If your domain doesn't work straight away, that's normal — see domains and DNS explained, and if it's still not loading after a day, this troubleshooting guide.
Don't have a domain yet? You can buy one through SiteDrop instead.
