What this guide covers
The fastest way to get a website is to tell SiteDrop about your business in plain English and let Forge— our AI engine — build the whole thing for you: the words, the layout, the colours, and the images. You'll have a real site to look at in a few minutes.
1. Describe your business
On the SiteDrop home page (or your dashboard), find the Describe your business box.
- Type what your business is — its name, what you do, who it's for, and where you're based. A sentence or two is enough to start.
- The more specific you are, the better the result. Our guide to describing your business has examples of great briefs.
- Press Build my site to start.
2. Let Forge build it
SiteDrop asks a few quick questions (like what kind of site you want) and then gets to work. While you wait, Forge writes your copy, chooses a design that fits your business, and generates matching photos.
Tip — The first draft is a starting point, not the finished article. Forge fills in realistic-looking details so the page feels complete — swap them for your real opening hours, prices, and photos once it's built.
3. Preview and publish
- When the build finishes, you'll see your site in Preview. Scroll through it and check it on your phone.
- Want to change something? You can edit any text, photo, colour, or section — see the editor guide.
- Happy with it? Publish it to take it live — see Publishing your site and going live.
Good to know — On the free plan you can build oneAI site to preview. Free previews don't stay up forever (see Preview vs live) — to keep your site online, start your 7-day free trialor choose a plan. Uploading your own sites doesn't use the AI-build limit.
That's the whole loop: describe, build, preview, publish. From here, the first-week checklist walks you through everything else worth doing.
