Understanding credits

Credits pay for AI photos and AI edits. Building a site never uses credits. Here's how they work.

Credits are what pay for SiteDrop's AI work — building a site, editing it with AI, generating photos, finding leads. They're separate from your plan: your plan decides how many sites and domains you get, credits decide how much AI work you do.

What uses credits

  • Building a site from a prompt — charged by the size of the job. A typical build is about 6 credits; a full redraft costs more than a small one.
  • AI Edit — usually about 3 credits. Smaller changes cost fewer than big ones.
  • Generating an AI photo — 1 credit per photo.
  • A Lead Finder search, once you're on a plan. Repeating the same search within an hour doesn't charge you twice.
  • Search tools — writing a search description for a page, or running a search check across your site.

TipThe Credits page in your dashboard lists what each action costs before you spend anything, and a job that fails is refunded — you're only charged for work that actually lands.

Where credits come from

A free account gets 25 credits — a one-off allowance, enough to build your site and try the AI features on it. Paid plans come with a larger allowance that refreshes every month. If you run out, choose a plan or buy a top-up pack.

You can see your current credit balance in your dashboard. For plan details, see Plans and what's included.
